In the modern world we live in, it is easy to view inequality and injustice as an issue of the past, but women continue to face obstacles during their ongoing fight for equality. In reality, women are disproportionately affected by online harassment and digital threats such as stalking and receiving unwarranted inappropriate content, as well as economic injustices, earning 77 cents on average for every dollar that men earn. Does gender equality truly extend beyond words on paper if women are invited into public life only to be underpaid and unsafe? While the committee may find consensus on the importance of the debate topics, each delegate has different stakeholders that make a consensus-based solution difficult to develop; and therein lies the excitement of debate. Delegates will represent nations in the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) and can expect an engaging and policy-focused discussion that will leave them with new perspectives on real-world issues, and hopefully with ideas on how they themselves can address them.

The world’s most endangered species are decreasing at an alarming rate, but who–or what–is to blame? And, what if animals had a say in that? In the Endangered Species Survival Committee, delegates will take on the roles of endangered species themselves and the humans who are liable for the decrease of these endangered species. With every species fighting for its survival, the animals must face the humans whose actions have contributed to their decline. While the species fight to preserve their habitats and existence, the human delegates may prioritize profit, development, and personal interest over conservation. Alliances will form, conflicts will arise, and species will have to convince–or outwit–those working against them. Will the animals find a way to survive against human opposition, or will economic interests push them closer to extinction? Delegates must act quickly and strategically, because in this committee, survival is not guaranteed.

Reality TV is facing its biggest challenge yet! Ratings are falling, secrets are getting leaked, restrictions are being placed, and the entire reality TV universe is falling apart. At the same time, the public has growing concerns over ethics, mental health, and fairness; this dilemma has placed the entire industry under massive scrutiny. Delegates represent major reality TV stars, franchises, producers, and hosts. They may choose to save the future of reality TV through reform, or exploit the chaos for personal gain. Delegates can potentially form secret alliances, spread rumors, leak information, and participate in anonymous confessionals that may influence the committee's direction.

Ad Hoc is an advanced and unique crisis committee designed for delegates who are eager to debate and be surprised. This AD HOC will be a surprise. The details of the topic will not be revealed until moments before the conference starts. Delegates will have to think on their feet and respond effectively to sudden crises.
